Whilx is developing an add-on system for autonomous adaptive optimization of the tire pressure, ensuring that the contact area of the tire with the road is always optimal. The system continuously monitors all the external and internal factors that may affect the tire’s performance and inflates or deflates the tire to reach optimal pressure..
The problem
Non-Optimal tire pressure leads to high energy costs (due to rolling resistance, unnecessary fuel consumption, CO2 emissions) safety risks associated with braking distance, and tire ware.
Company's solution
Whilx's system constantly adapts to external conditions to ensure the tire is at it's optimal pressure to match the road, weather, and weight conditions, thus saving fuel, reducing harmful emissions from the tire, and increasing driver safety due to decreased braking distance.
