Skygrid Engineering builds the smart grid of computing power. Founded by Leonard Aukea (CTO) and Ronnie Jansson (CEO), who previously built and led the central AI and Machine Learning teams at Volvo Cars, Skygrid turns the world's idle processors into a distributed, sustainable AI supercomputer, starting with electric vehicles.

The AI revolution runs on compute, yet most of the planet's processing power sits idle. Companies compete for scarce GPU resources while new data centers consume enormous energy and capital. At the same time, by 2030 tens of millions of electric vehicles will carry AI-grade GPUs more powerful than most workstations, and those processors will sit parked and unused around 95% of the time.
Skygrid is an intelligent orchestration layer that transforms idle vehicle GPUs into a massive distributed virtual data center. Its patent-pending Optimal Disruption-Tolerant Computing (ODTC) engine securely enrolls, attests, and schedules workloads across intermittently available nodes, fragmenting, checkpointing, and replicating work so it completes reliably even as nodes appear and disappear. By avoiding the embodied carbon of new hardware and the capital cost of traditional data centers, Skygrid targets cutting both cost and carbon emissions in half, with no meaningful impact on vehicle owners.
